JULIA AGNES

Canadian sculptor Julia Agnes explores the intersection of nature, the body, and the feminine through polymer clay. Her sculptures—deeply rooted in themes of vulnerability and aging—celebrate the beauty of imperfection and lived experience. By focusing on aging bodies, etched with the marks of time, she captures a powerful duality: the innocence of childhood and the resilience of adulthood.

Through her work, showcased in museums and exhibitions around the world, Julia seeks to honour the sacredness of being truly seen—embracing aging as both a privilege and a radical act of presence.

JULIA'S CLASS

In this class, students will create a lifelike sculptural bust, exploring narrative storytelling while mastering facial anatomy, proportion, and texture to achieve photorealism. Julia will guide them through the process of translating emotional and visual recollections into detailed three-dimensional forms, refining both technical and storytelling skills. By the end, each student will have a personalized sculpture that captures physical likeness and emotional depth.
